Adam Kamien - the ass that talked - ויפתח ה' את פי האתון
Readers will note the title of this post is derived from last week's Parsha "Balak" and the story of Bilaam's chatty donkey. A week later the AJN's ass has opened his mouth.
Maybe Donkey Adam was running short on smut and neither could he find a way to poke fun about a seriously injured child. So AJN Watch was given the 'honor' of his attention.
His imbecilic name-calling proves (if there was any need for proof) that Bilaam's donkey had far more seichal than the AJN's ass.
Note his delicate discharge attacking the AJN Watch blog and that post:
"balls-out, Mariana Trench-depth, plumbing faux pas, holier than thou hypocrites, pests, fundamentalist fanatics, taking cues from unhinged religious zealots, virulent vitriol, idiotic histrionics", while equating us with the Klu Klux Klan and Hizb ut-Tahrir. Nice, no?
Unsurprisingly, Eeyaw Kamien distorts our post, by lying that we 'gleefully' 'quipped' about the NZ earthquake tragedy.
But then what can one expect from an individual who derives his income via the stench of the smutty filth he pushes into so many Jewish homes.
Meanwhile our post suggesting an association between the Shechita ban and earthquake (and, Eeyaw, it was only a suggestion) was picked up and discussed in a number of sites (including some that we prefer not to be associated with). We were quite surprised at the interest shown.
One such site, Shirat Devorah, seems to agree with our sentiments, even mentioning the possibility of Holland too getting a 'heavenly' warning after its politicians recently decided to ban Shechita.
And while we can understand donkey's and smut-peddlers denying that anything that happens comes for a reason and from Hashem, we were rather stunned by comments from some in the 'frum' community who seem to have reservations about 'signs' from Above.
So for their benefit here is a quote from the Talmud Yevamot 63:

AJN - smut peddler?
From the AJN website:
Why are we not shocked?
No doubt we can look forward to the AJN's authority on all matters related to dreck and the dreckerati, Adam Kamien, to give this muck a rave review.
From another reader:
The same porn advertisement features on the AJN weekly email newsletter.

Adam Kamien - pinching from AJN Watch?
If only he did more cutting and pasting from here and other reputable sites and offered less smut in his Shmooze column. Halevai!
Saturday, August 28, 2010
Idiotic headline of the week - Disneyland: "the crappiest place on earth"
He can't think of any worse places? Adam Kamien has this time outdone even his usual foolish self.

AJN v. The Age: The pot calling the kettle black!
Anyone remember the terrifying threat against us made at the time that this blog was created? AJN's page-2 bore Adam Kamien warned us declaring: "Shmooze is looking at you!”
Meanwhile almost a year has passed and we have never, ever heard from him again.
Why?
Either everything that has been posted here has found favour in Kamien's beady little eyes or the most probably reason, someone slightly brainier than him whispered in his ear that giving publicity – any publicity - to your critics isn't really such a great idea.
But one can never be certain and we still shiver in our boots every week as we check out his page of sleaze and drivel. After all, who knows what little Adam – the AJN Watch watcher - has found wrong with this blog.
Of course we here at AJN Watch dom’t have any qualms about giving all types free publicity and thus we reproduce a piece, in fact a rare G-rated snippet - in last week’s issue. Yep, a snippet that you may actually allows kids under 15 to read.
Kamien pokes fun at the Age editing and proofreading standards as we see here:
But as readers realised when perusing the next page, maybe the AJN itself would be better off employing a few rabbits (or monkeys) themselves. On condition that these animals can count till 7.
Cast your eyes on this page three article where 3 times the AJN states that Rudd met with "6 (Jewish community representatives)" and lists all 7 of them!

Kamien's [3-year-old] scoop...
So how does he fill the slack? The lazy man's way, of course. Sloppy trawling of the internet followed by some slipshod cut-and-pasting.
But, really. Did it have to be that stale and ancient chestnut that’s been forwarded to and fro for years by millions of emailers? (A google search for "Pay Every Penny Save Israel" results in almost 60,000 hits - going back a long, long time!)To save Kamien further time and effort (after all, he must be SO busy), here's a piece to help fill next week's column:
Pepsi and Coca Cola Contains PORK (PIG) extracts - PROVEN!!
Educate ur muslims friends on this issue
Shocking / Bad News : Pepsi and Coca Cola contains extract from Pork (Pig)
Most of the people avoid Pepsi and Coca-Cola for various reasons:-
Because of harmful chemical contents such as excessive carbonates, etc.
Because it is a Jewish product and they are supporting and funding Israel's terrorist activities.
Now there is yet another reason which is more dangerous i.e. "Haraam" contents in these drinks.
The following news article has been published in Al-Riyadh Newspaper on 20th August 2006. This is the translation of the news article. Please see the attached news in Arabic.
The scientific and medical research says that drinking Pepsi & Cola leads to cancer because the key element is taken from Pigs sausage. The heavenly books Quran, Bible and Torah forbids eating Pork, as it is the only animal that eats dirt, dung and urine, which makes lethal and deadly fabric polluted germs and microbes.
According to a report published in Jordanian magazine, the head of Delhi University's Science and Technology Center , Dr. Mangoshada scientifically proved that the key element in Pepsi and Cola contains extract from the intestines of Pig which causes cancer and other deadly diseases.
The Indian university conducted tests on the impact of drinking Pepsi and Coca Cola which proved that drinking them lead to more rapid heart rate and low pressure. Also drinking 6 bottles of Pepsi or Cola at a time causes instant death. It also contains chemicals such as carbonic and phosphoric acids, citric acid which harms teeth and causes bone fragility. Bones kept in the Cup of Pepsi melts during the week knowing that the bones of the dead remain in the grave for thirty years. Research itself confirmed that the calcium dissolved in Pepsi and it weakens the bladder, kidneys, kills the pancreatic, leads to diabetes and infectious diseases.
Pepsi or Coca-Cola lovers nothing to worry as it is not the only drinks available on this earth, as we have other healthy alternatives such as natural fruit juices, canned coconut water, flavored milks, buttermilk etc., all of them are conveniently available even in the small stores.
This is not a surprise since the Coca-Cola, Pepsi producers are Israelis. i.e Zionists(jews), who would simply do anything on their part to destroy the peace loving muslims like they did to the lebonese civilians...

Seriously injured 10-year-old gives Adam Kamien the giggles

Nice man this Adam Kamien.
A little kid is seriously injured.
And his reaction?
He laughs his head off at the poor child's pain and humiliation ("can't get funnier").
Here's some more on the story from the Ynet site:
A ten-year-old boy was admitted to Haemek Medical Center in Afula in serious condition Thursday, after suffering severe intestinal injury. The injured boy underwent emergency exploratory surgery, meant to ascertain the extent of the damage caused to his intestinal track.
The event unfolded around 6pm, when Magen David Adom emergency services paramedics from the Gilboa Station were called to the scene. They found the 10-year-old writhing in pain with his abdomen severely swollen and rushed him to Haemek Hospital.
Dr. Alon Erez, Haemek's deputy chief of staff, told Ynet that the boy was found to be suffering from extensive intestinal tearing.http://www.ynetnews.com/articles/0,7340,L-3754901,00.html
Just imagine the outrage had this sickening piece appeared in the Age or Herald-Sun.With such sensitivity and compassion Kamien demonstrates that he the lead runner to become the next editor of the AJN and/or to partner Kyle Sandilands on his radio show.

Stick to what you know, Adam

Remember young Adam’s terrifying warning on “Watching the Watchers”, ( see: http://ajnwatch.blogspot.com/2009/07/adam-kamien-gets-nasty.html ) about keeping an eye on AJN Watch?
While we have been quivering in our boots, in trepidation of his next salvo, it seems that he has approved of our blogposts since that time - as there hasn’t been another peep from him.
We, on the other hand, cannot allow his above piece to go by without a comment.
In that feeble and unbecoming attempt at sarcasm and tabloid reporting, Kamien appoints himself as both judge and posek regarding those organ transplants.
Our advice to Adam: Stick to tittle-tattle and gossip about the dreckerati and leave matters of halacha and law to rabbis and judges.
"As Kosher as the AJN..."
I was surprised that you hadn't mentioned this piece from last week's AJN. Seems that the ignorami employed by the Jewish News haven't got a clue about Kashrut matters. Nothing! Don't they realise that Kosher meat cooked in a Treif pot is basically Chazir treif?
And even when cooked in a Kosher pot but by irreligious or non-Jews the result is just as Treif?
Where are the 2 KA's?
Why haven't we heard any comment from them?
PJM

Thanks PJM for that. You make some excellent points.
Hopefully the KAs will now take some action.
Unfortunately our community has become hardened to the upsetting occurrence of Treif food establishments being publicised by the AJN.
Treif, Chametz bePesach, Chilul Shabbos are all regulary advertised in the so-called "Jewish" newspaper.
However, free publicity for a purely Treif cafe trying to attract "kosher" consumers may be a new low.
Meanwhile your words "Kosher meat cooked in a Treif pot is basically Chazir treif" seem like a great analogy to Divrei Torah published in the AJN...

The Jewish News hits back hard!

Well, well, well, who would’ve thunk it? The Jewish News trotting out its heavy artillery to repel AJN Watch. Yes folks, Captain Adam Kamien and his S.S. SHMOOZE have been engaged to avenge the honour of his employer! So critical is this assignment, that Shmooze has reduced its usual piffle about Borat, Bruno and the rest of the dreckerati to focus efforts on abusing, accusing and slurring AJN Watch. And he has done it - in his sneering best.
Poor little Adam complains about the “bottomless trench of desperate boredom” behind “AJN bashing” on the blogosphere. And he kvetches about this blog’s anonymity. What a hypocrite! A quick check will show that all comments on the AJN website are anonymous.
But the REAL chutzpah is that the Shmooze column - which is obviously cobbled together by some underemployed cut-and-paster - in most week’s editions doesn’t disclose who that nebech is. Yep., anonymous! (And quite understandable too. After all, why would any self-respecting journalist want his/her name associated with such drivel?)
But seriously Adam, rather than throwing a childish tantrum, why not attempt to respond to the issues raised by this blog? Several charges and serious grievances have been made against the tabloid that you so smugly defend. Why not address these rather than roll out a Thesaurus-like list of every spiteful word you can think of? It’s time to grow up and learn to write like a mentch. Then, and only then, will AJN Watch consider any ‘challenge’ of yours.
PS. Your comment that AJN Watch is “undignified” was real cute. A real pity that we missed an opportunity to ‘dignify’ ourselves by adopting some of your illustrious prose. Eg, ”…dross that slavers from your keyboards, polluting the blogosphere …”
PPS. Your comment: “If your posters had it their way, Hamodia would be the only rag in town” implies that the AJN is the other ‘rag in town’. Mr Zablud, no doubt, will thank you for the compliment.
And whilst it is not our job to defend the Hamodia (this blog, BTW, has no connections with the publishers), before you try to disparage them you may be interested to learn that the Hamodia outstrips the Jewish News in almost every sphere. Hamodia offers dozens of pages of Israeli, world and Jewish news, well-written and interesting feature articles, women’s and children’s sections - as well as items of local interest. That compares pretty well to the AJN’s 2 or 3 pages of cut-and-and paste material from the Jerusalem Post website and a few media releases supplied to it by local organisations. (If the AJN ever ran an honest poll of its readership it would confirm that the main reason of those who still buy it, are the births, marriages and death notices. (No doubt, if they could introduce divorce notices, circulation figures would rise.) The only other worthwhile reading in that paper is the ‘letters page’ - which is supplied by readers and not by paid staff.
The AJN can only dream of having the kind of readership and influence that the Hamodia has. Here’s some of what Wikipedia has to say:
Hamodia is a Hebrew language daily newspaper, published in Israel. A daily English language edition is also published in the United States and Israel. The U.S. version is the first Haredi Jewish daily newspaper ever published in English in the U.S. It is also the only Orthodox Jewish newspaper published daily in two different country editions.
The weekly edition, in English, is published simultaneously in Jerusalem, London, New York and Melbourne. Recently a French weekly version has been introduced and enjoys a wide circulation both in the French speaking community in Israel and in France itself.
